Pricing & billing
How is the price calculated?
Service is billed hourly, based on the number of movers and trucks. Working time starts when the crew arrives and ends when the work is done; travel time is added. Any surcharges (materials, heavy items) are shown in your quote.
Is there a minimum charge?
Yes: a minimum of 3 working hours applies to every job, plus applicable travel time. That's the industry standard to cover mobilizing the crew and truck.
What's included in the basic service?
Moving blankets, tape, the necessary tools and standard equipment (dollies, carts, straps, ramp) are included at no charge.
Which packing materials cost extra?
Boxes (standard, picture, wardrobe, TV), mattress and sofa bags, stretch-wrap rolls and crates or cases for fragile items are extra. Prices are itemized in your quote.
Is waiting time billable?
Yes, hourly. If the crew has to wait (elevator not reserved, missing keys, access not ready), that time is billed as working time. Good preparation avoids it entirely.
Services
Do you move apartments, condos and houses?
Yes — from a 1½ to a large house. Crew and truck count are matched to the size of the move: typically 2 movers for a small apartment, 3 for a 4½–5½, and 4 to 5 with two trucks for a large house.
Do you handle commercial moves?
Yes: offices, stores and professional spaces. Every commercial job is reviewed by our team and can be scheduled in the evening or on weekends.
Do you offer small moves or single-item delivery?
Yes. Furniture or appliance delivery, store or Marketplace pickup: the 3-hour work minimum plus travel applies.
Do you offer long-distance or interprovincial moving?
Yes, on request. Every long-distance move is evaluated based on destination, dates and volume, and the quote is confirmed before booking.
Do you move pianos or safes?
Yes, by approval. Weight and access must be disclosed in advance; a weight-based surcharge generally applies above roughly 225 lb.
Booking & dates
What happens if the move is bigger than described?
Since service is hourly, the crew keeps working and the actual time is billed. To avoid gaps, describe your inventory as completely as possible — photos help a lot.
Can I change my date?
Yes, subject to availability. If the new day falls in a period with a different rate, the new date's rate applies. Request the change from your private link or call us.
How is my date confirmed?
After your request is reviewed, you receive the final quote to approve online. The date is confirmed after your approval and, when a deposit is required, after the deposit is received.
Is a deposit required?
A deposit may be required to reserve a date. The amount and applicable conditions are clearly shown in your final quote, before you confirm.
What happens during severe weather?
We move in every season. In very heavy rain the crew may need to shelter briefly; meanwhile they can keep working indoors (packing, furniture assembly) when possible.
Can I request same-day service?
Urgent, same-day or next-day requests are possible by approval, depending on truck and crew availability. Call us at 514-771-9090 for a fast answer.
Can I send photos?
Yes — please do! You can attach up to 12 photos or videos to your quote — it's the best way to get an accurate estimate.
Do I need an account?
No. After your quote request, you receive a secure private link by email to follow your file, approve your quote and pay the deposit — no password needed.
Preparation
What must be disclosed before the move?
Very heavy, fragile or high-value items (piano, safe, antiques, artwork), as well as difficult access. This lets us plan the right crew and confirm the price with no surprises.
How should appliances be prepared?
They must be disconnected, emptied and ready to be carried when the crew arrives: fridge defrosted, washer disconnected, and so on. See our appliance preparation guide.
Do I need to reserve an elevator?
Yes, if your building requires it. Reserving the elevator (at both addresses) avoids billable waiting time and speeds up the work considerably.
Who arranges parking and permits?
The customer is responsible for providing a spot for the truck (driveway, parking lot or street permit if needed). Our parking guide explains what to do for your situation.
What happens if the truck can't park near the door?
The crew carries over a longer distance, which adds working time. If a long carry is likely, mention it in your quote for a more accurate estimate.
